  • Light bar service (Smart Serve required; certification provided by the Club)

Summer Student – Club Operations & Member Services

High Park Club is seeking a Summer Student – Club Operations & Member Services to support the 2026 summer season.

Position Details

  • Term: May–August 2026 (flexible based on availability)
  • Hours: 35–40 hours per week
  • Wage: $20.00/hour
  • Schedule: Primarily daytime, with occasional evenings and weekends
  • Reports to: Assistant General Manager

About the Role

This is a front-line, member-facing position supporting the day-to-day operations of the Club during the busy summer season.

Working closely with the management team, including the Assistant General Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a welcoming and well-run Club experience. The role offers exposure to member services, events, communications, and general club operations in a dynamic, community-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome members and guests and provide a high standard of service
  • Assist with member and guest check-in and general front desk support
  • Respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and by email
  • Assist the Assistant General Manager with event setup, execution, and cleanup
  • Support summer programming and day-to-day Club operations
  • Assist with Club communications, including website updates and occasional social media content
  • Provide occasional daytime bartending support in accordance with Smart Serve standards
  • Perform light administrative tasks (data entry, signage, notices, etc.)
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming Club environment

Candidate Profile

  • Age 18–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility applies)
  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable in a member-facing role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively

Customer service experience is considered an asset, but not required.

Smart Serve and First Aid/CPR certifications are required (training can be arranged at the start of employment if needed).
